DaaS-IoT establishes a logical mesh layer that operates independently of the physical network. This design enables applications to communicate using a unified API, regardless of whether the underlying transport is Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, or cellular. The overlay supports multi-path routing, where nodes create both direct and indirect communication links. This not only ensures fault tolerance but also allows data packets to take the most efficient path available, improving reliability in dynamic or hostile environments.

An integrated automatic channel selection mechanism continuously evaluates communication options, choosing the optimal path based on performance, availability, and security.
